Artists, be they painters, musicians, poets or certain types of scientists, are channels the same way psychics are. I think that's why most artists own a Tarot deck and why all the best psychics I have met create art. When you are open to Divine creative energy, "things" come through. Sometimes the "thing" is a sculpture, photograph or an article. Other times it manifests as a beautifully crafted ritual. Or as a certain knowing that you are going to marry that man that just walked past you - and you do. Most artists and psychics will tell you that we have to be artists and psychics because if we blocked the flow we'd go crazy, get sick, or flounder through life. I call them "artes" from the old-fashioned phrase "magickal artes" because making art is making magic.
